Since 2004 I've been producing documentary, educational media and video for interactive projects. I've produced for such clients as HarperCollins UK, Apple, Inc. Adobe Systems Inc., PeachPit/Pearson Educational and various independent producers.
From 2005 to 2006 I served as the senior producer of Magnet Media, Inc. where I managed over thirty productions over two years for Zoom-In.com and the Digital Media Training Series. In 2007 I was hired freelance to project manage the process of moving their DVD based creative software tutorials brand to on-demand video. During that time I worked directly with Adobe Systems Inc. to launch Magnet's 'Pocket Tutorial' brand, oversaw the first 'in-the-box' third-part video tutorial to ship with Apple, Inc. software and worked on a PeachPit Press branded online video tutorial The InDesign CS3 Video QuickStart.
Since 2003 I've been supervising and storyboarding the creation of motion graphics for promotional videos, technical animations, creative software tutorials and presentations. I've been creating title animations since 1998 on film and video for theater projection for independent projects, producers and movie theaters. In 2006 I began freelancing as a motion graphics artist and have worked with The Asia Society, The AsiaStore and independent producers to create 2D animations based on print collateral and Photoshop elements, brand animations, title animation and lower-thirds. I learned AE tips and techniques from working next to Seth Gordon, director of King of Kong and the personal motion graphics artist for the Dixie Chicks.
From the late 90's versions of QuickTime and early versions of After Effects, I've been encoding, transcoding and compressing video for hi-quality analog tape, on-demand and streaming video content, multimedia projects and DVD-Video. I created a hi-quality WMV file for the Houston Rockets Jumbotron and MPG video for HarperCollins Publishers. I freelanced as a streaming video encoder for the 2007 US Open continue to encode content for the music label Toolshed, Inc. I was given the inside skinny by the web video guru and author of Real World Video Compression, Andy Beach.
From 2003 to 2007 I've produced over forty DVD-ROM titles for Magnet Media, Inc., Adobe Sytems, Inc. Apple, Inc., TekServe, Full Sail University and The Technology Therapy Group. In 2006 I began freelancing as a DVD Author and created DVDs for Our Living Tree, Monkey Farm Records and SUNY Stoney Brook: updated the DVD Meeting Face to Face with Arabic, Spanish and French subtitles for international distribution.
With my over ten years diverse experience, I can offer consulting services on film and video production, post-production supervision, project management workflow and best practices, video encoding workflow and management and Mac trouble-shooting and set-up. I've consulted with The Asia Society on creating a video with NTSC equipment for PAL delivery to China and hi-definition video delivery for their Park Avenue window plasma screen; Lead Dog Marketing for quick turn-around delivery of video to the Houston Rockets for their Sony Jumbotron; Time Inc. for FLV encoding for their BrightCove account and Magnet Media for maximizing video quality and minimizing file space for DVD delivery.
